On October 17, 1929, his excellency
Sr. Marques de Larice of Spain ordered this long wheel base saloon
from the London Rolls-Royce factory. Over 10 custom changes were
made to the car especially for the Marques. Gunmetal brass fittings,
dictograph speaking tube, P-100 Lucas "King of the Road"
headlamps, dropping division window, adjustable rear seats, folding
jump seats, center fitted cocktail cabinet, cigarette drawer in the
center armrest, and two side wheel carriers with center hubs. |

On July 4, 1930 this Royal Rolls was
shipped from Pall Mall to Spain. It is thought that the car was
actually ordered for Alfonso XIII, King of Spain who went into exile
on April 14, 1931. No records can be found on this historic
automobile between 1930 and 1984. |
