The Shelby Cobra is one
of the worlds most famous and recognizable sports cars ever
made. The new CSX 4000 Series 427 S/C component vehicle
licensed by Shelby Automobiles, Inc. is everything the 1965
models were and more. The authenticity of each vehicle is
documented by Shelby CSX numbers and a manufacturer’s
Statement of Origin (MSO) from Shelby American signed by
Carroll Shelby himself.
This Terlingua is titled
in California as a 1965 Shelby. Improvements include a
stronger steel frame and better alloys used in the
components, plus better cooling and additional heat
shielding to make these cars safer and more drivable without
losing any of their original character.
With 0-60 MPH under four
seconds, and 12 second quarter mile performance, you’ll know
exactly what it is like to drive a true American legend.
The Terlingua Cobra body
is carbon fiber and finished to show car standards. The fit
and finish are beyond belief!
-
The engine is built by the most successful
name in Ford racing, Jack Roush.
The 451 cubic
inch Shelby Aluminum block engine produces an estimated
550 to 600 HP
(horsepower) and approximately 625 ft. lbs. (foot pounds of torque).
The power is delivered to the rear wheels through a Tremec
TKO 600 five speed transmission, the descendant of the Ford
4-speed ‘top loader’ released in 1964.

A
new "roller" Shelby Cobra lists for nearly $80,000.00.
This particular car is believed to be the only all
carbon fiber Terlingua built. The rarest of the rare!
